Application Deadline: Open until filled ________________________________________ About Us Parry Sound Aquatics is a new swim program launching in the heart of Georgian Bay, alongside the opening of a brand-new aquatic facility in June 2026. We are building a community-driven swim program focused on athlete development, water safety, and long-term competitive growth. As a startup club, we are creating something from the ground up ΓÇö and weΓÇÖre looking for a Head Coach who wants to help build, lead, and grow a program from day one. ________________________________________ The Opportunity This is a founding leadership role ΓÇö ideal for a coach who is entrepreneurial, community-minded, and excited by the challenge of building a team. You will play a key role in: ΓÇó Shaping the program structure ΓÇó Growing athlete enrollment ΓÇó Establishing a strong team culture ΓÇó Leading the transition toward competitive club status ΓÇó We are especially interested in candidates who are excited by the opportunity to build and grow a program in partnership with the local community. ________________________________________ Key Responsibilities ΓÇó Lead the design and delivery of all swim programming (introductory to competitive) ΓÇó Develop seasonal and long-term training plans aligned with Swimming Canada LTAD principles ΓÇó Recruit and develop swimmers across all levels ΓÇó Plan and execute tryouts, assessments, and onboarding programs ΓÇó Build and mentor a coaching team as the club grows ΓÇó Collaborate with the Board and work toward affiliation with Swim Ontario ΓÇó Attend and lead competitions, training camps, and club events ΓÇó Foster a positive, inclusive, and high-performance environment ΓÇó Communicate effectively with athletes, parents, and community partners ΓÇó Support community outreach, partnerships, and program growth initiatives ________________________________________ Qualifications ΓÇó NCCP Swimming Level 1 (Trained or Certified; willingness to complete certification required) ΓÇó Previous experience coaching age group or competitive swimmers ΓÇó Strong understanding of swim technique, training progression, and athlete development ΓÇó Proven leadership and communication skills ΓÇó Ability to work collaboratively with a Board, volunteers, and families ΓÇó Passion for building programs and developing young athletes ΓÇó Valid Police Vulnerable Sector Check (required prior to start) ________________________________________ Compensation & Growth ΓÇó Base salary: $40,000 ΓÇô $65,000, depending on experience and scope ΓÇó Performance-based growth opportunities, including: o Enrollment-based increases o Program expansion incentives o Potential for future revenue sharing or bonuses ??
