Following the Mel Zajac Jr International Swim Meet the CSCTA Board of Director held two days of meetings in Vancouver.  At the conclusion of these meetings portfolio assignments were confirmed for each Board member.
Congratulations to Peter Carpenter who has been named President of the CSCTA.  Carpenter will be taking over the lead role from Dean Boles who recently moved to Denmark.  Carpenter will also continue in his role of Domestic and Chair of the Domestic Committee.
David Fry (VP - Professional Practice and Ethics), Ryan Mallette (Professional Development) and Dave Johnson (VP - Director at Large and Chair of the High Performance Committee) will continue in their previous roles.
Cathy Pardy, who was elected in March as the newest member of the CSCTA Board, will take over the Operations portfolio while Tom Johnson will move from Operations to a Director at Large role.
The Board also confirmed Dr. Peter Vizsolyi as the CSCTA Appointed Director for the next year.
With these portfolio confirmations the CSCTA Board remains with one vacancy.  The CSCTA will be running an Special Meeting for Members during the Canadian Swimming Championships in Pointe Claire to elect a new member to the Board and adopt some proposed changes to our Bylaws.  Date and time to be confirmed.
