During the CSCTA Board of Director Meetingson May 26-27 in Vancouver the Board of Directors determined the specificportfolios for each Board Member and confirmed the appointed director as perthe CSCTA Bylaws.
Each year following the CSCTA AGM the electedmembers of the Board along with the Executive Director determine the specificpositions on the Board.
Dean Boles (Toronto, Ontario) will remainin the role of President after taking over for Bill Humby in November2013. Humby (Edmonton, Alberta) wasnamed Director at Large.
Newly elected Board Member Ryan Mallette(Victoria, B.C.) was named to a newly created portfolio of VP Education &Professional Development and will work with the Executive Director to developeducational and professional development opportunities for our members.
Peter Carpenter (Pointe Claire, Quebec)remains in his position as the VP Domestic and will chair a newly created CSCTADomestic Committee.
David Fry (Halifax, Nova Scotia) alsocontinues in his previous position as VP Professional Practice & Ethics andwill continue to act as the CSCTA Chair of Ethics, while Tom Johnson(Vancouver, B.C.) will continue in the role of VP Operations.
Dave Johnson, Calgary, AB, will act asDirector at Large – High Performance and will Chair a new CSCTA HighPerformance committee.
During the meetings the CSCTA Board ofDirectors also determined that Dr. Peter Vizsolyi would serve as the AppointedDirector on a one-year appointment until the next Annual General Meeting. Dr. Vizsolyi has had involvement with theCSCTA for over 10 years and has been involved in the recent Bylaw revisions andongoing review of our Code of Professional Conduct and Policies. He previously served as the VP ProfessionalPractice and Ethics.
