CSCTA Personal Coach Program – 2015
The CSCTA Board of Directors have confirmed funding for the 2015 CSCTA Personal Coach Program for the FINA World Championships in Kazan, Russia, the Pan American Games in Toronto, Canada, IPC Swimming World Championships in Glasgow, Scotland and the Parapan Am Games in Toronto.
FINA World Championships: Kazan, Russia
The CSCTA will provide funding for three (3) coaches not selected to the coaching staff of the FINA World Championships. Selections will be based on the 2014 two per country World Rankings on performances done at the 2015 Canada Swimming Trials. Coaches must be recognized as the Coach of Record for their athletes’ performance as per the Swimming Canada Coach of Record Program. Each grant will be worth up to $ 3,333.33 CDN and may be used for attendance at the staging camp and / or the FINA World Championships in Kazan. Attendance at the staging camp and any other access to Team Canada is at the sole discretion of Swimming Canada.
Pan American Games: Toronto, Canada
With Canada hosting the Pan American Games in Toronto we have an opportunity to expose our coaches to international swimming here at home. The CSCTA will provide grants of up to $ 1,250.00 CDN for up to eight (8) coaches not selected to the staff of the Pan American Games. Selections will be based off of the 2014 two per country World Rankings on performances done at the 2015 Team Canada Swimming Trials. The CSCTA will also offer a minimum of $2,000.00 CDN in a Pan Am Games Community Grant available based on applications received by the CSCTA no later than May 15, 2015. Any money that goes unclaimed from the rankings will be added to our CSCTA Pan Am Games Community Grant and a single maximum grant is payable in no more than $750.00 CDN.
IPC Swimming World Championships: Glasgow, Scotland
The CSCTA will provide funding for one (1) coach not selected to the coaching staff of the IPC Swimming World Championships. Funding will be offered to the highest ranked Coach who is not selected to the Coaching staff. Coaches must be recognized as the Coach of Record for their athletes’ performance as per the Swimming Canada Coach of Record Program. The grant will be worth up to $ 3,000.00 CDN and may only be used for attendance at IPC Swimming World Championships in Glasgow.
Parapan American Games: Toronto, Canada
The CSCTA will provide one (1) grant of up to $ 2,000.00 for the highest ranked Coach not selected to the staff of the Parapan American Games. Coaches of Parapan Am Games Team athletes are also invited to apply through the CSCTA Pan Am Games Community Grant where a single maximum grant is payable in no more than $750.00 CDN.
