FINA has released a Memorandum (only available in English) regarding approved suits for use during the 2010 FINA World Short Course Championships being held next month in Dubai. 

This memo was originally sent to National Federations on November 18, 2010.

There has been a lot of debate around the terminology used in the Memo with regards to the suits being "submitted" as opposed to "approved" by a certain date in order to be eligible for use at the 2011 World LC Championships next summer.  As we saw almost 150 new suits added to the list in October there is a chance that a number of new suits will be added later this month or even in early December. 

It is my understanding that this does not change anything to do with the Swimming Canada swim suit rules and that any suit appearing on the FINA Approved list is permitted to be worn in competition.
