Humby to step down as President, Boles to Interim Role
After 4 years as the President of the CSCTA, Bill Humby has announced that he will be stepping down from the leadership role. Director at Large, Dean Boles, will assume the President role in an interim basis until the CSCTA AGM on April 1, 2014 in Victoria. Following the AGM, the elected Board Members will determine the new portfolio assignments for the elected Board Members. Humby will remain on the Board and will move to a Director at Large role.
Humby cited a desire to step back in order to concentrate more time on other projects and also with his University of Alberta swim team where he is the Head Coach.
Humby was first elected to the Board in November 2008 and served as the Director of Operations in his first year before moving to President in 2009. During his tenure Humby has presided over the growth of the CSCTA in many areas including the Association’s ongoing relationship and partnership with Swimming Canada.
On behalf of the CSCTA Board of Directors and entire membership I would like to take this opportunity to thank Bill for his service and leadership in the role of CSCTA President for the last 4 years.
