There have been several recent reports related to doping in sport, and specifically the sport of swimming, beginning with the news of a second positive drug test by 2015 World Champion Yuliya Efimova of Russia earlier this month and most recently with an article in the Times newspaper on March 23, 2016.

Today the CSCTA Board of Directors have unanimously supported the call by Jon Rudd, Chair of the British Swimming Coaches Association, and also supported by the American Swimming Coaches Association, for an independent investigation of the Russian Swimming Federation's approach to drug testing and the steps they are taking to ensure that clean sport prevails.

The CSCTA will be communicating this support to the World Swim Coaches Association as well as the American Swimming Coaches Association for wider distribution.
