“I’m very excited to take on the role of Provincial Mentor Coach for Swim Ontario,” said Dean Boles. “It’s an exciting time for Ontario Swimming and I’m very eager on helping our Coaches and young athletes as they reach for the Podium in 2012 and beyond.”
“I have enjoyed the years, the swimmers and the people of the Region of Waterloo Swim Club and Wilfred Laurier University, and I was most fortunate to have perhaps some of the greatest people surround me and help make me who I am today and I will take that experience and knowledge and hopefully be able to pass it along” said Boles

Boles’ coaching career began in the early 80’s as Age Group Coach for the ROW Swim Club in Waterloo under the guidance and mentoring of Clifford Barry, one of Canada’s greatest coaches. He became Head Coach of the ROW Swim Club in 1987 as well as the Wilfred Laurier University Varsity Team

“We’re grateful to the ROW swim club and the Wilfred Laurier University for the leadership they have embarked on and delivered with their partnership over the years of delivering high performance excellence. We know that having Dean transition from club to Provincial Coaching responsibilities will improve the level of swimming across the province” remarked Vadeika.
